Aeternus Corporate Finance wanted one central hub for all the acquisitions they’ve managed since being founded Not a standard overview, but a visual, scalable database that works both internally and externally. At Dawn Technology, we developed a custom, scalable solution that grows with their business.
Each year, Aeternus manages more than 60 mergers and acquisitions, both domestically and internationally. Every deal contains valuable data about buyers, sellers, sectors, deal structures, and advisors involved. However, this information was spread across multiple tools and files.
Together with Rachele van der Velden and Jacques Jetten from Aeternus, we went back to the core. How do we make this knowledge accessible, visual, and immediately usable?The briefing was clear: create a central database with smart search capabilities, automatic tombstones and export options to Excel, PowerPoint, and PNG. No extra work for advisors, just instant usability for pitches, client meetings, and presentations.
We built a custom web application in which every transaction is stored as a ‘tombstone’ complete with logos, key deal data and automatically generated text. Users can filter by subsector, deal size, buyer type or team involved. We also created an API integration that automatically displays deals on the Aeternus website. Enter once, available everywhere. Efficient, error-free, and consistent.The export function makes it easy to present deals visually internally or externally, live or digital. Always in full Aeternus style.
The foundation is solid and well protected, especially in terms of security. Together with Aeternus, we’ve enhanced the database over time, adding new features, improving performance and aligning it even more closely with their workflows. Onno Steman and Giovanni Goossens from our team have been deeply involved in this ongoing development, first as part of MyBit, now as trusted colleagues within Dawn Technology.

KLM Engineering & Maintenance is responsible for this process. In collaboration with DZB Leiden, the bolts are washed, inspected, and resorted.
